The dining room of the Seward Park Tudor faces north with a shadowed western exposure. The existing color was a deep rose, painted in semigloss. The key to correct color choice for this room was to find something that didn’t fight with the high gloss orange mahogany trim. Some shade of dark pink may have worked, but not this one. I chose instead Pratt & Lambert River Sand in a flat finish, a midvalue neutral that turned the room from a boudoir into a restful space for dining.
