Seward Park living room

Brief

This 1926 Tudor-era interior is characterized by a cathedral living room, lovely coved ceilings and 6″ wide natural mahogany trim. The walls were sponge-painted 15 years ago and needed a simplifying refresh. The huge south and west-facing windows influenced the color choice strongly, turning what appeared to be dark paint choices into pastels. The room has now been restored to its period elegance using a dark warm gray with red undertones.
